MSA-VLC UK / HEDO co-organised "Training programs
for traditional midwives"
Thanks to generous sponsor by
Medical and Scientific Aid for Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia (MSA-VLC),
UK, HEDO has organized training programs for traditional midwives
and provide "hygiene medical bag" to them in remote and
upland villages of Ham Yen, Yen Son districts (Tuyen Quang province),
Loc Binh district (Lang Son province).
In September 2003, HEDO continued to cooperate with Sapa District
Health Service to organise 3 training courses for traditional midwives
in villages there. HEDO Director Board and Representative of MSA-VLC
namely Dr. Madeliene Sharp - Hon. Secretary and Ms. Margaret Methly
- Executive Chairman came to Sapa for openning these courses on
10th September 2003. The delegation directly met and discussed
with Director of Lao Cai Health Service, Vice Chairman of District
People's Commitee, Leaders of Sapa Health Service and traditional
midwives who come from remote villages in the district to attend
the courses.
