About Highland Education Development Organisation (HEDO)

The Highland Education Development Organisation (HEDO) is a humanitarian Non-government organisation working for a humanitarian cause: development of education; improvement of the intellectual standard of the people and children in the highland called as the disadvantageous areas in their effort to get out of poverty, diseases illiteracy towards a prosperous, free, equal and civilised life, thus marking contribution to the establishment of the united Vietnam with different ethnic groups living together in harmony, peace, freedom, democracy and prosperity.

Carrying out the social-economic strategies of Vietnam with orientation towards scientific, cultural and educational activities, HEDO - a voluntary organisation - mobilises and appeals to all State and people's organisation, social strata, institutions, academies, economic establishments, individual at home and intelligence in their implementation of the highland educational development.

HEDO's operation is under the auspices of:

- The National Centre for Scientific Research of Vietnam
- The Highland Economic Development General Company
- The Ministry of Health.
